This application note describes the use of the CellXpress.ai™ Automated Cell Culture System for automated AI-driven cell maintenance and expansion. In this work, the CellXpress.ai™ system was tasked with automatically triggering passage of HTC116 cell lines based on predefined cell density thresholds and without manual interaction.

By leveraging image-based analysis and automated decision-making, the CellXpress.ai system can significantly reduce hands-on time, while enhancing reproducibility and precise control of cell culture conditions.
